La Fossa Beach in Calpe
Last Friday, October 1st, La Fossa beach was awarded the Ecoplaya flag, given to town halls that strive to manage their beaches under strict environmental and sustainability measures. This five-year old prize is given by ATEGRUS (Technical Association for Waste Management, Urban Maintenance and Environment) in a special gala.
This year’s event was the perfect finale for ECOPLAYAS 2010 -a series of ecological activities- and the XII International Beaches Congress and Expo that took place in Gijón, from September 22nd to 24th.
The Ecoplaya Flag is destined to town halls or town institutions. It aims to evaluate the quality of the beaches in environmental and sustainability terms, rewarding both, efforts and results.
Open air cinema beach
During the month of August the film sessions on the Playa de la Fossa-Levante Calpe (Alicante), ( on the beach opposite the Topacio building) continue. You can enjoy a film in the open air on Wednesdays at 22:00 pm.

- Wednesday, August the 4th : “A Mom in trouble,” a comedy not recommended for children under 7 years.
