This is the calendar of events with the days left to celebrate Holy Week in Calpe:
Spy Wednesday, 20th April:
19:30 h: Holy Mass.
21:00 h: Penitential procession. Cristo de las Tres Caídas —Three Falls Christ— Brotherhood.
Maundy Thursday, 21st April:
Holy Week’s Medieval Market
During Holy Week, there are many options to enjoy your holidays here in Costa Blanca north.
In Calpe, for example, we remind you there will be a medieval street market from 22nd to 24th April, both days inclusive.
As usual, the stalls will be installed on Plaza Mayor Square.
Opening hours will be 11:00 h to 14:30 h and 17:00 h to 22:00 h.
Camping La Merced Calpe
It´s coming up to time to plan the holidays and for those who wish to spend their vacation camping in the Calpe, Alicante area, here is some information that may be of interest.
Camping La Merced can be found on the road La Cometa, in the urbanization La Merced, in Calpe in the province of Alicante. (Set the GPS coordinates at 38.65423/0.06828.) This campsite is has a bar, restaurant, safety deposit box, hot showers, plenty of shade, electricity, gas, Laundry, WIFI, medical attention and first aid, barbecue, playground, bocce court, barbecue, is accessible to the disabled, and offers rental caravans.
The camping Levante in Calpe
The Levante Camping Site in Calpe ( Alicante), is open from the 1st of March right through until the 31st of December. You will find it on the road , “Avenida de Juan Carlos I,” at a scarce 200 metres from the beach, known a little confusingly, by two names, either the “Playa Levante”, or the “Playa de La Fossa”. ( This is the beach located to the left of the Peñon de Ifach , the Calpe Rock).
It is situated approximately 20 km from Benidorm, 80 km from Alicante and 100 km from Alicante Airport.
