Casa de Cultura Calpe
Next 3 February at 20:30 h., -and until 29 February- the Exhibition Hall of the Casa de Cultura “Jaume Pastor i Fluixà” of Calpe will host an exhibition of works of Altea Artists Association.
This interesting exhibition of pictorial art showcases the works of 34 artists of different nationalities who take part in the Artists collective of Altea.
The more than fifty works on display in this exhibition are made with different techniques and deal with several subjects that allow the feel the magical expression of self-taught painters frorn different parts of Europe.
Casa Cultura Calpe
These are the art exhibitions that will take place in Calpe for the Christmas season 2010:
December 1st: Inauguration and blessing of the town’s nativity scene.The exhibition will be available to visit until January 9th, 2011.
Location: Entrance hall of the Casa de la Cultura in Calpe Time: 18:00 h.
December 2nd: XVI Exficalp. Archaeology in Calp “Banos de la Reina” –Queen’s Bath.
Philatelic Exhibiton Calpe Exficalp 2010
From December 4th to 13th, Calpe will host the XVI Philatelic Exhibition Exficalp.
This event is organised by the Philatelic Association of Calpe and will take place in Casa de Cultura (1 Masnou Avenue, Plaza Mayor).
The exhibition will open from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 h to 13:30 h and from 15:00 h to 21:00 h, and Sunday afternoon, from 17:00 h to 21:00 h.
On Saturday, there will be an special event at 19:30 h: Dr. Vicente Baixauli, renowned philatelist from Valencia, will dictate the conference “La emisión del sello de Granada 1936″ -issuing of the Granada 1936 stamp- and launch his book with the same name, co-authored by Felix Gomez-Guillamon.
Innovative music lessons at Aula del Rock
A lot of people in Spain know and have enjoyed the beat of the Soft Rock band Cafe Quijano. This autumn, Casa de la Cultura of Calpe and Roman Rodriguez (former member of Cafe Quijano, professor, and composer) will provide to children, youth and adults the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rock, pop, jazz and blues music.
Calp Music Association group organizes this Aula Del Rock (hall of Rock) course in collaboration with the Department of Culture. The first edition of this musical experience was organized in October 2008. Since then, it has had an average of 30 students.

The last training course programmed for this year in Calpe will start on November 3rd. The 20-hour course, on events and protocols for client service and reception, will run every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 20:00 h to 22:00 h in Casa de Cultura Jaume Pastor i Fluixà (1 Masnou avenue,03710 Calpe. The course focuses on specific tasks and duties oriented towards the reception and service of clients, the preparation of relevant documentation and information management on the commercial area of the tourism industry.
This useful training course is recommended to improve the competitiveness of any tourism-related business. It is the perfect course for non-native Spanish speaking professionals with a high proficiency in Spanish who wish to get specific vocabulary on the area and master client services and protocol in this language.
