It is the last week of July and also the last week of holidays of this blog’s editorial team. As it happened last week, we will not be able to publish details on the weather forecast directly on this website —as we usually do.
However, that does not mean we will not keep our readers informed about the weather forecast for the rest of the week —as we do every Monday— for the town of Calpe, in Spain’s Costa Blanca north region.

This week, the weather in Calpe will surprise us with a day more typical of tropical lands instead of Mediterranean, with heavy electrical storms, rain and heat.
Monday, 11th July: Morning with some scattered clouds, while the rest of the day will be clear. Temperatures ranging from 30°C to 23°C and mild winds, blowing south at 29 km/h.
Tuesday, 12th July: Cloud intervals as the afternoon approaches. Temperatures will remain as on Monday, while the wind will only decrease 4 km/h.
Wednesday, 13th July: The highest temperature increases up to 32°C in this rainy day with electrical storms. The lowest tem goes down to 22v while the wind returns to 29 km/h, but southwest.
Thursday, 14th July: Sunny day with the lowest temperatures being 22°C and the highest, 31°C. Winds continue on the same direction, but with a lower wind speed of 18 km/h.
Friday, 15th July: Winds will calm down to 14 km/h. They remain on the same direction. Clear skies and temperatures ranging from 29°C to 23°C.
Saturday, 16th July: No changes at all. Typical summer day. Temperatures ranging from 31°C to 21°C and mild winds, blowing south at 29 km/h.
Sunday, 17th July: The highest lowers to 27°C and the wind increases its speed in 3 km/h. Rest of conditions just like on Saturday.

Even though it is summertime in Calpe, heat is not as intense as in other regions, thanks to the fresh Mediterranean Sea Breeze:
Monday, 4th July: Winds blowing south at 25 km/h and temperatures ranging from 28°C to 22°C. Some small cloud will show up at noon.
Tuesday, 5th July: Winds blowing north at 22 km/h and temperatures ranging from 29°C to 23°C. The day will be clear.
Wednesday, 6th July: Both the highest and lowest temperatures increase one degree and winds go southwest at 25 km/h.
Thursday, 7th July: Temperatures ranging from 22°C to 30°C and winds blowing south at 22 km/h. Very sunny day.
Friday, 8th July: The wind will keep its speed, but will blow north. Temperatures between 30°C and 23°C.
Saturday, 9th July: The temperature and speed of the wind will remain the same, but the wind will change direction to southwest. Scattered clouds in the morning.
Sunday, 10th July: Temperatures from 23°C to 27°C and westerly winds at the same speed of the previous days. Sunny day with cloud intervals.

There is no doubt left: Summer has arrived in Spain. In Calpe, the omnipresent sun is the clearest proof of it.
Monday, 27 June: Nice temperatures ranging from 20 °C to 27 °C . Intense sun. Westerly winds will blow at a speed of 14 km/h.
Tuesday, 28 June: The highest temperature rises to 28°C. The lowest reaches 22°C. Wind blowing with the same intensity, but northwest.
