Fiestas in Calpe 2010
Only a few days ago the Town of Calpe was busy celebrating their ( Bull running in the streets), but they are already getting ready for the next fiestas that will be held in October 2010. Local fiestas in Honour of the Virgen of the Snows and the Bous al Carrer
-Procession of the Virgen del Rocio, Calpe fiestas from the 9th to the 12th of September in honour of the Virgen del Rocio. The pilgrimage is organized by the Hermandad Rociera of the Casa de Andalucía.The main event these festivals is the encounter between Virgen del Rocío and San Juan with the celebration of the Rociera Mass.
The Five Club Trophy Regatta
This September marks the beginning of the 5 Club Trophy Autumn Season in the Alicante province.
This second season will begin on Sunday the 12th of September 2010 with the regatta that will set sail from the Club Náuticio de Moraira. The next regatta is to take place on Saturday the 23rd of October from the Club Nautico de Altea, the following regattta from the Real Club Náutico of Calpe on Sunday the 14th of November and finally the last regatta from the Club Náutico de Campomanes on Saturday the 11th of December 2010.
The Puerto Blanco Beach of Calpe
The Puerto Blanco Calpe Beach is a quiet cove with a beach of rather coarse sand and gravel that measures approximately 100 metres by 10 metres and is protected at its southern end by the northern break water of the small marina of Puerto Blanco.
The beach has a lifeguard service, toilets, foot-baths and this year they also have a super cool beach bar which serves very good food.
The Cantal Roig Beach Calpe
Today we include a picture of Playa Cantal Roig Calpe,as you can see it is a small beach of about 200 metres long located near the fishing port and the Penon de Ifach.
It is a semi-natural sandy beach with easy access, lifeguard, first aid, toilets and footbaths. It also boasts reassuring blue flag. The bus stops close by, so no need to take the car.
It has a great location as it is close to the port and the fantastic seafood restaurants, so after a morning on the beach and an easy walk, one can enjoy a good paella or fresh fish.
Diving of the coast of Calpe
