Low Cost Festival Benidorm

After a long wait, finally, tomorrow is the Low Cost Benidorm 2011 Festival, one of the biggest alt and pop music events —if not the biggest— in the Costa Blanca.

Tomorrow, Thursday 21st July is the turn of The Bright, Eli “Paperboy” Reed, Loo&Plácido, Fangoria, Vinila Von Bismark and the Lucky Dados, Supersubmarina, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Maika Makovski, Stay, Lori Meyers, Cirilo, Fuzzy White Casters and Eric Fuentes.

Friday 22nd July is for Catpeople, Sidonie, Erol Alkan, Lüger, Vetusta Morla, , OK Go, Delafé y las Flores Azules, Crystal Castles, Cut Copy, Dos Bandas y un Destino, FM Belfast, Sex Museum, Gratis! The travessy Band, Santo&Mr. Chase, Frank Bango and the closing act: Mika.

III Tapas Crawl in Benissa

This year, Benissa hosts “3º Ruta Benissa amb Sabor: Cultura i tapes”. This is the third edition of the properly organized tapas crawl that is now becoming a regular annual event in most towns on Costa Blanca. But this edition, this year it is different: This time, food and culture go hand in hand to deliver a special experience.

Yes. This year, music will co-star this tapas route.

Today at 21:00 h, there will be an opening event at Jaume I square, followed by a show by “Sifasol”, the local school of modern music.

The Dénia to Benidorm route by train is one of those itineraries. The first stone to build this route was set back in 1911 thanks to Alfonso XIII and since 1914 to date, millions have travelled along its rails.

This classic train, affectionately called “el trenet” by locals, takes you through the nicest and varied landscapes in the region.
