Calpe’s Equality Council has organized several workshops to enhance job opportunities and improve the quality of life of participants.
A useful self-defense course started at beginning of January and will last until mid-June. This workshop teaches that you do not need brute force, but strategy and technique for defending yourself. It also offers other tips on how to deal with hazards and threats. The workshop will be held every Monday from 20:00 h to 21:00 h in Pedro Pastor hall at the Casa de Cultura and you can join at any time of year. It has a monthly price of EUR 15.
Last January 17th, Calpe’s Equality Council also launched the introductory course to digital photography, at the same cost and schedule that the self-defense.
Finally, basic and advanced computing -the most jobseeking-oriented course- will be delivered from February 7th to April 19th in the computer room of the Casa de Cultura. In this case, the price is 35 EUR and you can register until 31 January.
