Next 22, 23 and 24 April (Good Friday to Easter Sunday) the traditional medieval market will be held in the Plaza Mayor of Calpe.
Artisans will offer at this event its utensils, tools, medieval traditional cuisine dishes (made the old-fashioned way) and even reproductions of medieval weapons in order to recreate the lifestyle of the known world at that time.
This kind of events is expected to encourage a kind of tourism which preserves the culture and traditions while promoting small business of itinerant craftspeople.
In addition to the artisans, in this market you will find all kinds of entertainment options such as a playgrounds, demonstrations of antique shops, exhibition farms and live music with medieval instruments.
If you are spending time close to Calpe and want to do something different and know some of the history of Europe without leaving the fiesta atmosphere, take the train and go to Calpe’s Main Square this Easter from 11:00 to 14:30 h. and 17:00 to 22:00 h.
