The Levante or La Fossa Beach in Calpe

On 15^th May, the two most popular beaches in Calpe were prepared to make them accessible for anyone this summer, regardless of the special needs anyone may have.

Arenal Bol and La Fossa —both awarded the Q Tourist Quality and the Blue Flag will feature special services in designated areas until 15^th September, every day from 10:00 h to 20:00 h.

Arenal Bol will have services for visually impaired people and people with reduced mobility.

People with reduced mobility will have specific bathing spots at their disposal with awnings, in-water loungers, games and people ready to guide anyone who needs it.

The system established for people with reduced mobility consists of a bracelet for the user and buoys.  The buoys emit sound in the bracelet to guide the user on how far are they in relation to the buoy.

La Fossa will have services for people with reduced mobility and for the elderly.

Because resources are limited, if a group of five or more plans to go to one of these beaches, the Town hall strongly recommends to send them an e-mail to platges@ajcalp.es at least 3 days in advance, to allocate additional resources an make of the visit a fantastic experience.
