Next 26^th, 27^th and 28^th February, La Casa de Andalucía (Andalusia club) will hold a commemorative event to celebrate the Day of the region of Andalusia. This event is traditionally held to remember the anniversary of the referendum of 1980, which granted autonomy to the region of Andalusia.

La Casa de Andalucía operates in Calpe since its founding in November 1995 when a group of Andalusian friends came up with the idea of creating a place to share and spread the culture of this region of southern Spain.

Currently, La Casa de Andalusia has over 900 members not only from Andalusian origin but also from other regions of Spain and even other European countries.

The activities to celebrate the day of Andalusia include  the tasting of traditional foods and drinks of the region and cultural activities, closing on Monday with a toast and the singing of the regional anthem of Andalusia.
